This cable was not connected to the oil pump and the oil pump does not spring back. I'll look further, if I find anything I'll post back later. If they are real squishy I would replace them. I've looked on the wiring diagram and can only find a 15A in the starting circuit.
I am moving from the trailer repairs back to the jet ski. I have never had on fail on a seadoo or any of my skidoo's. . Looks like water inside this filter. I need pictures for identification and connection points. Oil pumps on these skis are very reliable. Had one from 3 years ago that's still working.

Also check the connections on the battery, there is a cable that goes to the solenoid and a cable that goes from the solenoid to the starter, make sure there is no corrosion, also check the battery cables, twist the cables if they crunch they are corroded.
I have the 1195 manual i downloaded. The carbs are rather simple and it sounds like you like mechanical stuff.
