Even the fact that they never even sound as loud as a real gun should be in the situation is a distraction. I wanted to see what was going to happen next. I would recommend this movie for the story alone. Samantha meets up with Johnny and they decide to escape together. .
The costumes and set were maybe the strongest evidence of the low budget. I have just watched this low-budget movie with the lowest expectation based on the 3. The actress can actually deliver her lines believably its just she sounds like such a valley girl type that its annoying. Actually in this flick its an abandoned building on a side street. This could make a pretty good undead musical.
Mahler tells him not to do anything stupid or make guards angry. I actually liked this wild ride and don't know who to thank first. I thought having the Wardens kid in the film was useless and very unrealistic. That was one of the better things in the movie. The Good News: This one actually turned out to be a pretty decent zombie film. Nope, not the Sean Penn film where he plays a killer with hair so fantastic it deserved it's own billing, but a play on the prison term used when someone walks the 'Green Mile'. Although you can see some actors walk out of a room and not seem to know which way to go since its obvious they are on a set and not a real building.
While her father wants the documents, her sister wants the money and they will each stop at nothing, even murder, to get what they want. I could list many other flaws in the story, but these examples are the worst. She sings hymns, reads the Bible, and rests a loving hand on Matt's shoulder as he walks to his death by lethal injection. The writing isn't even worth mentioning. The flesh eating zombies feed on each other. Also, the warden's young son wasn't as believable as he could have been.
Unfortunately, the concept was completely slaughtered by the Asylum. Even if he was sent directly to prison to wait for the trial, how long have passed for the manifestation of the effect of the virus? Who is she and why is she hanging around the prison with no shirt on? But as the mysterious past of one of their group is revealed, dark forces emerge that threaten to subvert this technology into a means of mass control. I bought the movie off Amazon, and it had what looked like a scorched zombies with broken teeth in its mouth on the cover. The other serious incongruity is the woman whose large, bare breasts pop on and off the screen. I've been in prison lots, and I would rather participate in a good 'ol fashion riot than sit through this again. Get ready and hold on. I didn't rent this with pre-conceptions of a Romero-esquire entry into the genre.
I mean, why should children be spared when adults aren't? What a family was doing just sitting around in a maximum security prison doing nothing made no sense whatsoever. It seems that everyone with a camcorder and a pot of latex is trying to make their own un-dead classic. However, one thing really annoyed me, and that was the poor lighting in the movie. Comforted with a tidal wave of opposition and criticism, Sister Prejean helps Matthew Poncelet come to terms with the responsibility of the murders and rape he committed. In a bare bones prison environment Dark, frenetic, fast motion scenes when zombies attack, and I have to admit pretty gruesome dismemberment scenes. I have seen dozens of zombie movies, maybe more. A totally plastic 6 dollar seriously, I bought my son one Sig 556 knock off.
Oh gosh, I watch too many films. I enjoyed the humor in the movie provided by Sweeney and his unhappiness in shooting staff. The lack of proper lighting in most scenes made the movie appear more amateurish than it actually was. Though inexperienced in criminal chaplaincy, Sister Prejean becomes Poncelet's spiritual counselor and connects Poncelet with lawyer Hilton Barber, who helps Poncelet appeal his conviction with the State Board of Capital Punishment, Governor Benedict of Louisianna, and the State of Louisianna Supreme Court without success. So if you look at the cover art and are somewhat interested in checking it out. It's a solid starting point, and it coulda been a decent flick, but the acting is terrible and the sound is all screwed up.
The reverend that believes in God committing a capital sin with his suicide is also weird. The plot is pretty thin, but who needs any more. Johnny is sent back to the cell but on the way he knocks out a guard and takes his gun to run for the outside. It was smart and a new take on the Zombie genre. The best part of this film? It's a story we've seen many times and there is very little originality. Don't get me wrong, I love low budget horror films, but they at least have to have some appeal. I speak as someone who had a passion for zombie films a long time before 28 days later and Dawn Of The Dead 04 re-fired the collective film going interest in them, but for fuggs sake, it's getting a little tedious now.
The plot made no sense and the directors have no shame whatsoever. Dead Man Walking is a drama directed by Tim Robbins and starring Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn. I did enjoy the opening scene where he is fighting off the Zombies and just as he kills the last one he gets arrested by the police. The most impressive thing in the movie is the huge amount of blood on display. Some of the other cast members: Griff Furst, Brandon Stacy, Chriss Anglin and James Ferris.
The special effects are very effective, gore, blood-vomiting and gut-eating at all the right spots. Well, this wasn't an abomination, but it was far from good. It's very hyper stylized and serves as a distraction rather than a help. As everyone prepares for the zombies to break out of the cells, Sweeney tells Jenkins that when he turns to shoot him. This film has a nice look, very gritty and real environment.
