I'm assuming the hub assembly. These conditions may be more noticeable when turning at low speeds on rough road surfaces. Hopefully this will resolve mine as well. This is exactly the problem I am preparing to deal with. Gm needs to take full responsibility for defective components and not offer discounted repairs. Complete Power steering assy has previously been replaced twice under warranty for leaks. Refer to Service Bulletin 02-02-35-006A or newer for Mid-Size Utilities. At 65K I would first suggest changing shocks. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
They keep fixing parts they think is what's causing the problem. Not repaired at this time. Not sure where to open fender seam and hose off. There appears to be multiple complaints regarding the same issuses, is there any recall available to help with this repair?. However, now I am past the mileage warranty and nothing will be done.
Looks like the problem is still not fixed on newer models like mine. If I knew I could go after them to get my 5,500 that I put down on this vehicle and my money back for my car notes I have been paying since March of this year, I would!!! Also whining badly 38710 km Power Steering pump replaced. I noticed a clicking noise during May 15 test drive before purchasing this Acadia when turning the steering wheel. The vehicle has not been repaired. They cleaned it for now, but I am scared to drive it anywhere! This might be the issue my trans was removed a couple times in the last 2 years by the dealer.
Replacing the tires did not help. Took it to the dealer and they now replace the steering gear mileage 89k. The noise got worse few days after and we scheduled a service in the dealership. The failure mileage was 42,406 and the current mileage was 46,000. So obviously that was the problem. Has anyone seen or heard of any issues like this with the Terrain? The contact stated while driving 65 mph there was a noise coming from the steering column.
