I have a standalone copy of Office OneNote 2007 and tried to a upgrade my installed OneNote 2003 to OneNote 2007, then tried to b install 2007separately without uninstalling OneNote 2003, then after uninstalling OneNote 2003 tried to c install the full OneNote 2007 program. Thank you in advance for any help! It found neither errors nor corruption. I thought that there was an error or my copying is not complete. If you ignore the message the install continues for a few minutes then jumps back to the error message. The setup should work just fine now. I was installing Office Professional Plus 2007 from newly purchased original disks onto a new clean install of Vista Ultimate 32 bit edition.
I started with Office 2003 and then tried the 2007 Student trial version. I kept trying methods until. Search on your hard drive all references to office and delete them. Note that I purchased the full version of office and this was not an upgrade version. Wish you all success with the same results! I cannot rename it after the installation process is over because they are deleted by the setup after canceling. Immediately after have installed the trial version start installing your licensed version and all will be done.
I just replaced my 512 memory which I suspected to be broken with a new memory chip, the install went all the way with no errors. When the system files are not working properly, you will not be able to run your Office 2007 setup files. I tried to copy the files again and tried to install the package again. Fixing your system files is not very hard. Thanks for any suggestions, this situation is very annoying. Have done this many times before, same package - it worked, but not with this new Win 8. I compressed all installation file with 7-zip and test it.

Then suddenly while reading forum it came to my mind that my windows installer have errors thus it could be system errors in my Operating System. The fix was to 1st disconnect my ethernet cable no internet connection then temporarly disable norton internet security. On vista ultimate, recently have to use Toshiba recovery. I'm able to open them and no problem. I kept my fingers crossed the whole time, but it worked. The install went smoothly after doing this.
Really need some help with this. What u need to do is to reinstall Office 2007. I did not try the memory test from Microsoft. Can anyone help on this, had a search on the web and a few people seem to have had the problem but no real solutions out there. I don't know why but it works!! However, you could expose yourself to serious and potentially harmful security risks.

So I uninstalled 2007 and 2003, then used a registry cleaner to get rid of all of the old office entries that were dead and left over from the Student Version. After that you can uninstall trial version and all is done. This might be a little long winded but i will try to give as much information as possilbe.
Itfinally worked, a shot in the dark, but it worked for me. I panic, but only to myself. But I already done that. I've been looking to download the missing files, but only could find I think pirated sites. I search the internet to learn the same errors is a hassle to other people also. When I rename it during the installation process just to see what happens nothing changes. I read blogs and advising the users to check the installation files of not corrupted or purchased genuine installation package.
I tried to check my installation files by using 7-zip. No matter how many times you press the plus sign to get to the file required it doesn't show up. I bought a new Toshiba Windows7 laptop that comes with the 60-day trial version of Office 2007 Home and Student that I downloaded from Microsoft wesite. Installed Office 2007 with no problem previously here and on two other computers but cannot reinstall here as the described error message appears. Your pc must be clean of all linked to office also hiding folder. I use Vista 32 bit Ultimate edition.
Then, the same thing happened again. Do I have to uninstall the trial version first before I install my Office 2007 discs?.
